ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister Asad Umer makes important revelations over the2nd phase of the Pakistan China CPEC project.Federal Minister for Planningand Development, Asad Umar said that the second phase of China PakistanEconomic Corridor (CPEC) would have projects of different nature.
While speaking in National Assembly’s meeting of standing committee forPlanning, the minister said that the projects in the second phase of CPECwill be completed in partnership with the private sector.
“Under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), ML-1, agricultural andindustrial sector projects will be implemented,” he said.
Asad Umar further said that priority will be given to those agriculturistsand businessmen who would have business links with China.
“In the agricultural sector, some Pakistani companies have alreadyinitiated joint ventures with China,” he said.
Speaking on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the federal minister saidthat a sub-committee should be formed to practically implement SDGs.
“Framework related to SDGs will be included in the Vision 2030. The WorldBank has framed a 100 years plan for Pakistan,” he added.
