LAHORE – Additional Chief Secretary Umar Rasool ordered the CivilSecretariat to be opened despite absence of secretaries of all departments.

Additional Chief Secretary expressed apprehension at the lack of solidarityshown by the Provincial Management Service (PMS) officers to PakistanAdministrative Services (PAS) officers at Ahad Cheema’s arrest.He said that all the affairs would be carried out purely on merit from nowand verbal orders would not be entertained any longer.

Meeting with Ahad Cheema at NAB office, his wife Saima Cheema also assuredhim of the support of the whole bureaucracy.

In the meeting, Ahad Cheema expressed satisfaction at the treatments he isreceiving in custody.
