ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has nullified the verdict of special court to include the former PM and Chief Justice in Musharraf’s high treason case here on Friday.
As per details, a bench consist of 3 members led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the Musharraf high treason case and annulled special court verdict of including Co accused in treason case.
SC said in its verdict that High Court and Special court have no authority to include any accused in investigation of case because only federal government has authority in this regard.
SC further added that it is expected that special court will announce its decision without delaying treason case against former president.
Justice Asif said in his remarks that all the requirements of justice will be completed in Musharraf treason case while the behaviour of Musharraf with Judges in 2007 will not affect the judgement of case.
The court further said in its verdict that it is the job of federation not the court to include the co-accused in treason case. The court also directed to complete the trial without any delay.
