ISLAMABAD – Social activist and wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, MishalMalik on Tuesday said that India has taken every right from the people ofillegally occupied Kashmir. In her message on the occasion of India sRepublic Day, Mishal Malik said that Indian authorities have arrestedHurriyat leadership to shut their voices against the ongoing atrocities inthe valley.

Thousands of Kashmiris are bearing jail terms without committing any crime,she added.

On the other hand, Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) andthe world over are observing the Indian Republic Day as Black Day to conveythe message to the international community that India continues to denythem their inalienable right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, call for the observance of the BlackDay was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz-led Hurriyatforum and other Hurriyat organizations.

The day was marked by a complete strike in occupied Kashmir and anti-Indiademonstrations and rallies in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and world capitals togive a strong message to the world that India being usurper of Kashmiris’fundamental rights has no right to observe the day in the occupiedterritory.

People through posters, displayed by APHC, Jammu and Kashmir PeoplesLeague, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Alliance and Youth Freedom Fighter inSrinagar, Pulwama, Tral, Kulgam, Islamabad, Shopian, Kupwara, Handwar,Bandipore and others areas of the valley asked to boycott all Indianofficial celebrations and hoist black flags on the rooftops of theirhouses, shops and other buildings.
