LAHORE: *Pakistan International Airlines administration takes another bigstep under the new Aviation Policy.*
Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said on Saturday that under the new‘Aviation Policy’, five new airplanes were being added to PakistanInternational Airline (PIA) fleet this year.
He said this while talking to media prior to his address at the inauguralceremony of Pakistan Metrological Department’s (PMD) Media & IT Centre, andWeather Helpline-1315.
The minister was of the view that the addition of new airplanes wouldimprove the working and flight operations of PIA.
To a question, he said the government was going to sign new agreements withforeign airlines, including Lufthansa Air, Azerbaijan Airline, Air Franceand the airlines of Gulf States.
To another question, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) governmentwould complete its five-year constitutional term.
On climate change, the minister said Pakistan Metrological Department hadimmense importance to control global warming and many other issues relatedto it.
