ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkey mutually agreed to extend bilateralrelations and to work collectively in the field of aviation particularlyfor the betterment of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Consensus to this regard was developed in a meeting between Adviser toPrime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and Ambassador ofTurkey in Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul.
Senior officials of the aviation division were also present on theoccasion, said a press release. Different matters pertaining to mutualcooperation in various sectors were also discussed.
The Turkish ambassador appreciated the steps taken by the incumbentgovernment in order to restructure PIA and improve the aviation sector inPakistan.
The adviser said the government was focusing on strengthening regionalcooperation and bilateral relations to ensure prosperity and sustainablepeace not only in Pakistan but the whole region.
