Afghan Air Force strike at civilians home, at least 9 killed

KABUL – Six members of one family were killed and two others wounded when arocket hit their home in Ghazni province on Friday, local officialsconfirmed.

Ghazni Police Headquarters in a statement said the incident took place inQara Baghi village in the outskirts of Ghazni City, the provincial capital.

Hassan Reza Yusufi, member of Ghazni Provincial Council, told TOLOnews thatthe incident took place due to an airstrike carried out by Afghan securityforces.

He claimed that nine people were killed in the incident.

He said a military operation is ongoing more than three kilometers far fromthe area.

Taliban however has rejected the claims saying that the rocket was notfired by them. The group said the house was hit by an airstrike of Afghanforces.

Among those killed are three boys, a woman, a girl and a boy.
