Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League leader, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, has been released from the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology Hospital. Doctors have advised him to continue taking prescribed medication and to get complete bed rest.
On Monday night, he was admitted to the RIC Hospital due to chest pain and was initially examined by medical professionals. Following a second medical examination, he was discharged from the hospital.
Rashid will be updated on the final results of his heart readings and various test reports after consultation with senior doctors. After leaving the hospital, the AML chief returned home.
During his hospital stay, he underwent various tests, including an ECG, and his heart readings were recorded by a machine. Once the reports are reviewed, senior doctors will provide a final treatment recommendation.
