MURREE – Punjab Food Authority has raided the Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban and sealed one of its restaurant along with imposing fine for unhealthy and unhygienic conditions in the kitchen of the Restaurant.
As per reports a restaurant at the Pearl Continental, Bhurban, was fined and sealed on Wednesday by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) for violation of food standards.
The PFA team, headed by Director Operations North Bilal Abro, also slapped a fine of Rs100,000 to the hotel owners.
The team found cockroaches in the kitchen and food was kept in unsatisfactory conditions. The hotel’s water filters were also found to be rusted and expired.
Moreover, an open sewerage line was passing through the hotel’s kitchen while ice-cream was stored in unhygienic conditions.
