Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved setting up of one billion rupees Endowment Fund for the rehabilitation of HIV and AIDS patients.
This approval was given in a meeting, chaired by chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at his office in Karachi.
During the meeting, chief minister also approved a six members committee, comprising provincial health minister, MPAs of affected areas, an official of finance department and HIV/AIDS treatment expert to manage the fund judiciously and with due provision for transparency.
Addressing the meeting, Syed Murad Ali Shah said he would personally ensure proper execution of the fund and would expect his colleagues, particularly members of the management committee to keep strict vigil on the preventive cum curative aspect of the disease, in accordance to situation that may vary in different parts of the province.
