ISLAMABAD - In a recent notification to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), OGDCL announced that the joint venture of British Block comprising of Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL) as the operator (95%) and Govt. Holding (Pvt) Limited (5% as carried) has discovered oil and gas at well Pandhi in Sindh.
The structure of Pandhi #01 well was delineated and was drilled down to a depth of 3600 meters using OGDCL’s in house expertise. The well has tested 9.11 MMFCSD of gas and 520 barrels per day of oil through the choke, at a wellhead flowing pressure of 840 pounds per square inches from Lower Goru Basal sand formation.
The discovery of Pandhi #01 is the result of an aggressive exploration strategy adopted by the company to explore and produce local oil and gas. It would add to the hydrocarbon reserves of OGDCL and the country.
