Indian court convicts Lalu Prasad in fodder scam

In India, a special CBI court today(Saturday) convicted former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad and fifteen others in a fodder scam case.

The case involves fraudulent withdrawal of around nine million rupees from Deoghar Treasury between 1991 and 1994.

The court will pronounce the quantum of punishment to Lalu Prasad and the other fifteen convicts in fodder scam case, on third of next month.
