ISLAMABAD: (APP) Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah Wednesday said cases had been registered against anti-state elements involved in the attacks on media houses in Karachi.

Action would be taken against those who had attacked the media houses and used derogatory language against the country, he said talking to a private news channel.

He said, "We are enjoying good relations with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and accept its political mandate but action would be taken against the attackers of media houses."

The chief minister said MQM workers were incited by their party leader to attack on media houses and create anarchy in the metropolitan city. Women who used abusive language against the country were identified through video footage, he added.

He strongly condemned the attacks on media houses and said the police and Rangers controlled the situation after the violent incident occurred in Karachi. The provincial government was monitoring the situation to avoid any untoward incident, he added.

Murad Ali Shah assured that the government would take every step to protect the lives and property of the people of Sindh.

It was determined to completely eliminate terrorism from the province, he added.
