KARACHI: The former staunch leader of PML-F Jam Madad Ali took oath as MPA of PPP and sat on treasury on Tuesday.
Jam won Sindh Assembly seat PS-81 from Sanghar on PPP ticket in by-polls which he himself had resigned paving way for joining the ruling PPP.
The oath was administered by the Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani who also hugged him after becoming the member of the assembly once again but with different party affiliation.
After the sworn-in ceremony, MPAs belonging to treasury benches revered Jam with desk thumping and appreciated him for joiningg PPP.
PPP MPA Taimour Talpur congratulating the newly elected MPA said that Jam Madad Ali took lead of 10,000 votes in by-election. He said that the elections were held under the cover of Rangers.
Sindh Minister for Industries Manzoor Hussain Wassan on the occasion said that someone (MPA of PML-F) going to lose his seat but he will name him after a dream.
He further said that Sanghar is the fort of PPP and it will remain. Other MPAs including Sindh Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro also speak on the occasion. (APP)
