Islamabad: State Minister for Narcotics Control Shehryar Afridi onWednesday said the getting bail did not mean PML-N leader Rana Sanullah hasbeen acquitted, adding that tactics were used to delay the case.
While talking to media, the minister said that after the bail a perceptionwas created in the media that Rana Sanaullah was innocent. “Rana Sanaullahhas not been acquitted by the court”, the minister added.
“There’s a lot of talk in the media about video evidence,” he said.
The minister clarified that he “used the word footages in his pressconferences and not video.”
Previously, following Sanaullah’s arrest in July, Shehryar Afridi had saidthe Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) had “complete footage” of the PML-N PunjabPresident, Rana Sanaullah, before it moved to arrest him.

Afridi claimed that Sanaullah had been arrested after a three-weeksurveillance, adding that the ANF had complete and sufficient evidence toprove his involvement in the drug business.
On Tuesday, December 24, the Lahore High Court (LHC) granted bail to theformer provincial minister in drug smuggling case.
