Drone Strike Reported in Afghanistan by Taliban which killed key TTP members

ISLAMABAD: New photographs from the site of a recent drone strike inAfghanistan’s Paktika province have surfaced on social media, shared by anaccount affiliated with the Afghan Taliban. The images depict a destroyedbuilding and debris scattered across the Margha area of Barmal district.

The strike reportedly targeted a guesthouse allegedly used byTehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants. Sources close to the AfghanTaliban claim the attack was carried out by Pakistani forces using an armeddrone.

The TTP has acknowledged the incident, confirming that several of itsmembers were killed in the airstrike. The group accused Pakistan ofviolating Afghan sovereignty and vowed retaliation.

Local residents reported hearing loud explosions late Saturday night,followed by the arrival of Taliban fighters who cordoned off the area. Noofficial statement has been issued by Pakistan’s military or the AfghanTaliban administration.

The incident marks a rare public admission by the TTP of losses insideAfghanistan and escalates tensions between Islamabad and the Kabul regimeover cross-border operations.
