*NEW YORK – United Nations Security Council has responded over the deadlyterrorist attacks in Pakistan.*
*UNSC has condemned “in the strongest terms” Friday’s terrorist attacks inKarachi and Orakzai that claimed dozens of lives and left many moreinjured.*
The members also appreciated the authorities’ swift response.
Three armed terrorists attacked the Chinese Consulate in Karachi on Friday,killing two policemen and two civilians before being killed by securityforces. No consulate staff were injured in the attack.

The same day, 33 people were killed and 56 injured in a blast at a Fridaybazaar in lower Orakzai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The explosion was a suicidebombing.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the members of the council stressed that“terrorism in all its forms and manifestations” was one of the most seriousthreats to international peace and security.
