In an unprecedented move, Chinese people collect donation for martyred Pakistani police officials

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani policemen laid down their lives to save Chinese staffmembers at the Karachi consulate.

As soon as the terrorist attack was over, the government confirmed that twopolicemen and a security guard lost their lives in the line of duty, whileall 21 members of the Staff at the Chinese consulate were safe and sound,people in China took to social media platforms to thank the government andsecurity agencies of Pakistan for their swift response that saved lives oftheir countrymen.

Their reaction was not confined to paying homage to the martyrs only andthey went on to make appeals for donations for the Pakistani men martyredin the attack.

Lijian Zhao, a senior Chinese diplomat in Islamabad, on Saturday took toTwitter and shared the screenshots of activities on Chinese social mediawhich he said showed appeals for donations.
