The Wednesday morning trading session witnessed initial volatility in thevalue of the US Dollar relative to the Pakistani Rupee. In the interbankmarket, the American currency began at Rs279.30, initially experiencing amodest decline of 13 paisas against the Pakistani Rupee. However, withinmoments, it rebounded, surging by 57 paisas and settling at Rs280.
During the prior trading session on Tuesday morning, the US dollar’s valuewas Rs279.50, having incurred a loss of 38 paisas in the interbank market,according to currency dealers in Karachi.
The trading session on Tuesday concluded with the US dollar at Rs279.43,marking an increase of 31 paisas.
In the open market, the dollar demonstrated a gain of 50 paisas, initiatingtrading at Rs281.50. Over the past week, the interbank exchange rate forthe dollar experienced a notable cumulative increase of more than Rs1.19,ultimately closing at Rs278.80 at the week’s end.
