RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called on the US towork immediately to discuss ways to stop Israeli military operations thatclaimed the lives of innocent people.
Speaking during a call he received from US President Joe Biden, the crownprince discussed the military escalation taking place in Gaza and theefforts being made to end the war that began following a surprise attack onIsrael on Oct. 7 by the Hamas group.
Prince Mohammed also called on the need to find solutions to rejecting thetargeting of civilians in any way, or the targeting of infrastructure andvital interests that affect their daily lives or forced displacement, theSaudi Press Agency reported.
He stressed the need for calm, stopping the escalation, and not allowing itto deteriorate in a way that affects the security and stability of theregion, and the need to adhere to international humanitarian law, lift thesiege on Gaza, preserve basic services, and allow the entry of humanitarianand medical aid.
