ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has underscored the importance ofexpanding the tax base in order to enhance capacity of the government toprovide better facilities to the people.
He was talking to Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Shabbar Zaidi andChairman National Database and Registration Authority Usman Yusuf Mobeenwho called on him in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister said increasing the tax net will not only reduce burdenon existing tax payers but will also ensure provision of health, educationand other civic facilities to people living in far flung areas of thecountry.
Imran Khan said paying taxes is a national obligation but restoring trustof tax payers is of crucial significance.
