LAHORE: Former PM Nawaz Sharif is suffering from cancer, media rumours havesurfaced.
However the chief of medical board Dr Mahmood Ayaz has informed to thecourt that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is not suffering from cancer.
Appearing in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, Dr Ayaz briefed the Lahore HighCourt (LHC) about the medical condition of the PML-N supremo.
Meanwhile, renowned hematologist and bone-marrow transplant expert Dr TahirSultan Shamsi has confirmed that the former premier does not have bonecancer, but rather acute idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).

The disease, called ITP for short, is treatable in Pakistan. Expressingrelief over the diagnosis, the doctor further said that the ailment can bedefeated with the right medications.
