Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq expressed his stance duringa court proceeding, emphasizing the necessity of relocating Imran Khan fromAttock to Adiala Jail. This call for transfer stemmed from the fact thatImran Khan was facing legal proceedings in Islamabad.

Attorney General Mansoor Awan was actively presenting his arguments withinthe context of a case initiated by the former prime minister, who hadpetitioned the court to enhance the conditions of his incarceration.

In further elaboration of his point, Justice Farooq pointed out that it wascustomary for under-trial prisoners from Islamabad to be housed in AdialaJail. The attorney general, however, cited that Imran Khan’s placement in Attockwas in accordance with a court order related to a cipher case, to which thejudge retorted that this order had been issued after the former primeminister had already been imprisoned.
