Female MPA robbed of cash and jewelry in Lahore Cantonment

A few days ago, in Lahore’s Cantonment area, a group of robbers targeted aformer provincial legislator, resulting in the theft of cash and valuableitems. The victim, Rabia Nustrat, had her car intercepted by three robbersin the North Cantonment area. During this terrifying encounter, theyforcibly took her purse, which held Rs50,000 in cash, a cellphone, andseveral ATM cards.

Despite the presence of CCTV footage capturing the incident, the localpolice have been unable to track down the whereabouts of the suspects. Thisfailure in apprehending the culprits has left Nusrat and the communityconcerned about their safety. Additionally, Nusrat expressed frustrationover the way the police handled the case, highlighting that the registeredcomplaint did not appropriately address the pertinent sections related torobbery, which adds another layer of uncertainty to the ongoinginvestigation.

In light of this incident, it raises questions about the effectiveness oflaw enforcement in the Cantonment area and underscores the need forimproved security measures to protect both residents and visitors.
