NEW YORK – Despite strong resistance and condemnation from theinternational community, human rights watchdogs and Nobel laureates, IndianPM Modi awarded with ‘Global Goalkeeper Award’ by Gates Foundation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday was conferred with the ‘GlobalGoalkeeper Award’ for the ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, from the Bill andMelinda Gates Foundation. The award was presented by Bill Gates on themargins of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
On receiving the award, PM Modi credited the honour to the Indians, sayingthat they not only fulfilled the ‘Swachh Bharat’ dream but also made it apart of their daily lives.
