ICC Chief has an advice for Pakistan and India

DUBAI – International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executive, DavidRichardson has told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board ofControl for Cricket in India (BCCI) to put to ground the political issuesand start playing bilateral series.

Talking about the legal dispute between the two boards, the top officialobserved that ICC wants the resumption of bilateral ties between the twocountries.

We obviously don’t enjoy the fact that two country boards are in disputebetween each other. It is a matter between India and Pakistan. We wouldlike the resumption of ties between the two nations on a bilateral basis.

The two countries had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), decidingto play six bilateral series between 2015 to 2023, however, the Indiancricket board has backed away from the agreement while maintaining that thePCB has violated some of the clauses mentioned in the agreement.

Falling prey to political tensions, cricket has suffered and the fans havebeen longing to see the two nations play full-fledged series for a longtime now.
