ISLAMABAD – Babar Azam has became the first Pakistan batsman to score morethan 500 runs in a T20 tournament on Saturday.
Opener Ahmed Shehzad previously held the record for scoring most runs by aPakistan batsman in T20 tournament when he scored 486 runs in the 2012edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Azam continued his rich vein of form in the Vitality T20 Blast and playedan innings of 63 runs from 42 balls to help Somerset register 25-runvictory over Glamorgan on Saturday.
The top-order batsman was adjudged player of the match for his inning,which included seven fours and a six.
