*ISLAMABAD – Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman will finally make hismuch anticipated debut for Glamorgan county club in the T20 Blast.*
The left-hander is scheduled to play at least six matches, after Zamanfailed to play in the first two games due to visa delay. The openingbatsman is likely to make his home debut against Middlesex on Friday.
“I have so many good memories of the Cardiff ground,” said Zaman, quoted *BBCSport*. “That was my first tour with the Pakistan team, we played two gameshere and won both including the semi-final.”
Fakhar, who was part of Pakistan’s World Cup squad, didn’t enjoy the bestouting with bat in the tournament. However, the opening batsman is eager toplay county cricket with newer faces, which the batsman considers a ‘dreamfor cricketers.’
“We are professionals, we need to adapt to any situation and this is reallygood for me because I signed for Somerset in 2017 but I didn’t make itbecause of national duty, so I’m very happy to be here,” he said.
“I like to play at the Oval, so I hope it will go well. County cricket is adream for cricketers and I would love to play more,” he added.
