ISLAMABAD – At the United Nations, Pakistan has called that continueddenial of the right to self-determination to people of Indian occupiedJammu and Kashmir was not only a travesty of justice, but also an egregiousviolation of the UN Charter.
The call has made by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations MaleehaLodhi while addressing a special meeting of the Assembly to commemorate theinternational Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for peace in New York.
The Pakistani envoy also urged the international community to stand unitedagainst any attempts to undermine the sanctity of the UN Charter or toreinterpret its fundamental provisions to suit narrow aims.
