LAHORE – A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench on Thursday extendedinterim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbazin assets beyond means, Saaf Pani and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases till May 8.
The bench comprising Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan and Justice MirzaViqas Rauf heard pre-arrest bail petitions filed by the PML-N leader in thecases.
Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz appeared before thecourt for the hearing.
Strict security arrangements were made for the hearing.
The court after hearing arguments granted interim bail to the PML-N leadertill May 8 and stopped the bureau from his arrest besides issuing a noticeto the bureau for reply.

The LHC had earlier extended the interim bail of Hamza Shehbaz till April25.
The LHC had also granted pre-arrest bail to Hamza Shehbaz for 10 daysagainst Rs10 million surety bonds on a petition he had filed to refrain theNAB from arresting him.
Hamza Shahbaz is being probed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inRamzan Sugar Mills, Saaf Pani and money laundering cases.
