ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the appointment of HussainAsghar as deputy chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Hussain Asghar has been appointed as NAB deputy chairman after formalapproval of President Alvi after consultation with the anti-corruptionwatchdog’s chairman, Justice (Retd.) Javed Iqbal.
A notification was also released in this regards.
The newly-appointed official was belonged to police group and he hadretired as Grade 22 rank officer. Asghar had performed his duties asDirector General of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in Punjab andInspector General (IG) Gilgit-Baltistan.
He had also served the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and played vitalrole in conclusion of Hajj corruption case during Pakistan People’s Party(PPP)’s tenure.
