In a positive development, PIA increased international and domestic flights

The national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)announced on Wednesday that it will increase its international flights andrestore domestic flights in order to facilitate travelers.

Accordingly, it has increased its international flights to Afghanistan,Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.

According to the spokesperson for the PIA, it will operate five flightsbetween Pakistan and Kabul in the first phase, which will be increased toseven flights in the second phase.——————————

The spokesperson announced that the airline will operate direct flightsfrom Lahore to Baku from 14 March onwards, twice a week.

PIA will launch direct flights from Lahore to Tashkent on 28 March and hassought permission from Uzbekistan to begin flights to Samarkand and Bukhara.——————————

The airline has restored its domestic flights to Rahim Yar Khan and willoperate flights from Karachi to Rahim Yar Khan twice a week. Additionally,its flights to Chitral that had been suspended because of the pandemic havealso been resumed.

Furthermore, it will now operate flights thrice a week from Islamabad toLahore.
