*LAHORE – **New developments reported in Lahore High Court over MaryamNawaz name removal from Exit Control List.*
*The Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned the attorney general next weekfor assistance in the pleas of PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz regardingremoval of her name from the exit control list (ECL) and return of herpassport.*
The court also sought a reply from the NAB prosecutor on the latest medicalreports of Nawaz Sharif.
On January 15, the Lahore High Court had sought a reply from the federalgovernment for placing the name of PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz on theexit control list (ECL) on January 21. A two-member bench headed by JusticeTariq Abbasi had heard the case.
Maryam Nawaz’s counsel contended that the father of Maryam Nawaz iscritically ill and she wants to go abroad to look after him.
On January 14, the federal cabinet’s sub-committee had approved to placethe name of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz on the exit control list in theChaudhry Sugar Mills case. The cabinet had granted the approval on therecommendation of the sub-committee.
On December 16, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) to submit the reply on the return of thepassport of Maryam Nawaz on December 24.
