Important meeting of the NCOC held in Islamabad

The NCOC has stressed for purchasing quality vaccination to ensuresuccessful treatment of COVID-19 patients.

This was directed by the forum in its today’s meeting held in Islamabadwith National Coordinator Lieutenant General Hamood Uz Zaman Khan in thechair.

The forum was informed that the government would keep the record ofvaccinated persons even those who travelled from abroad would have toprovide a legal document confirming that they have been vaccinated.

The meeting was apprised that all provinces have almost completed thetraining of the staff of teaching hospitals, Tehsil and District HeadQuarters Hospitals regarding Covid-19 vaccination for swift inoculation ofthe vaccine.

The meeting discussed update from the provinces on positivity and criticaldata, non-pharmaceutical interventions implementation, preparations forvaccine inoculation and national vaccine strategy.

In their briefing to the NCOC, the Provincial Chief and Health Secretariesincluding that of GB and AJK informed that all necessary measures are beingtaken prior to the availability of coronavirus vaccination.

The Chief Secretaries also briefed about the positivity ratio in theirrespective provinces and cities with higher positive cases.

The Forum was told that a large number of fines have been imposed whilerestaurants, shops and business centers had also been closed for notcomplying with the SOPs.

The Forum also reviewed overall situation of coronavirus in the county. Itwas informed the forum that all foreign travellers especially from UK andSouth Africa are being tested at the airports.
