*LAHORE – **Pakistan Cricket Board responds over the media reports of dealwith Bangladesh.*
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan has deniedspeculation of any deal that has taken place with the Bangladesh CricketBoard (BCB) regarding the Asia Cup 2020 which is scheduled in Pakistan.
“PCB have not made any deal with Bangladesh to play series in Pakistan andin return has given the hosting rights of the Asia Cup 2020 to them,” CEOPCB said on the sidelines with reporters.
Wasim also clarified that they don’t have any rights to give Asia Cup toBangladesh because it is an Asian Cricket Council (ACC) event.
“PCB doesn’t possess any right to give the tournament to any other country.ACC holds complete authority as it is their event,” he added.
Wasim is happy to host Bangladesh and the cricket board is also in thetalks with Cricket South Africa to completely restore international cricketin the country.
“Matters are on the right track for restoring international cricket afterOctober future tor programs are also great. The credibility ofinternational cricket in Pakistan is getting restored,”
