PIA flight with the designation PK264 experienced an unusual incident at Sialkot International Airport. This flight had originated from Abu Dhabi with its destination set for Lahore but had to make an unexpected landing in Sialkot due to adverse weather conditions. However, the challenges for this flight did not end there.
Approximately an hour after resuming its journey from Sialkot Airport, the aircraft encountered an unforeseen obstacle—a bird strike. In response to this emergency, the pilot promptly executed another landing at the same airport, prioritizing the safety of the passengers and crew.
Unfortunately, this second landing was not without its consequences, as all three tires of the aircraft suffered damage during the process.
Despite the unsettling turn of events, the flight ultimately touched down safely. However, the aftermath of the bird strike and tire damage led to the cancellation of the flight. Consequently, the passengers' travel plans were rerouted, and they were subsequently transported to Lahore via road, ensuring their continued journey amidst these unexpected challenges.
