LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended as chief guest the inaugural ceremony of Lahore Qalandars Jazz Rising Star T20 Tournament at Qaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
According to a handout issued here, the chief minister congratulated organisers of Cricket Talent Hunt Programme for their splendid effort.

He said trial of more than one lakh 13 thousand boys from all over Punjab was a remarkable achievement of Rana Fawad Ahmed and his team.
He said in the talent programme, such a boy had also been discovered who could bowl with both his arms. He added that it was perhaps the only example that a player could bowl with his left arm as well as his right arm.

He said the boys who would be successful in the trial will go to Australia to become master trainers.
Chairman Lahore Qalandars Rana Fawad Ahmed said the Talent Hunt Programme had been evolved in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

Provincial Minister for Sports Asif Saeed Manhais, prominent cricketers Aqib Javed, Mudassar Nazar, Advisor Ijaz Ahmed, columnist Hamid Mir, Sohail Warraich and office-bearers of Pakistan Cricket Board as well as a large number of cricket lovers were also present.
