ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan started his address saying that the country has received an ‘excellent’ bailout package from Saudi Arabia.
He remarked that the country will seek a smaller loan from the International Monetary Fund now. “If we would’ve taken a bigger loan from the IMF, then it would impose more restrictions on the people.”
He said that Pakistan is currently talking to other friendly countries and told the people to expect more good news in the future.
The address came a day after Pakistan secured a $6 billion bailout package from Saudi Arabia. The prime minister is explaining the state of Pakistan’s economy and the steps PTI government is taking to overcome the challenges.
