Pakistan Coast Guard officials gunned down

QUETTA, Oct 23 (APP): Unknown armed men attacked and shot killed two personnel of Pakistan Coast Guard in coastal town of Jewani late on Sunday night.

Police sources said that unknown armed men ambushed and opened fire

at the personnel of Pakistan Coast Guard when they were riding official vehicle passing through Jewani area. The two suffered multiple gunshot wounds which caused their instant death.

"The victims received multiple bullet wounds in their bodies which caused their death on the spot," they said.

Chakar Khan Baloch, SHO of Jewani police station said that the dead were identified as Naik Mehmood and Sepoy Ishtiaq Ahmed.

Two civilians were also hit by the same firing. They were recognized

as Abid Hussain who is cousin of the coast guard who was killed in the firing. The other injured was recognized Muhammad Sabir.

The injured were shifted to hospital in Jewani. The police have been investing the incident. Further probe was underway.
