ISLAMABAD (APP): Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad police has busted a gang of Afghan nationals involved in looting the people coming out the banks alongwith money and recovered snatched cash and vehicle from them, police said.
According to details, police received complaint of looting person near Zero point who was going to his destination after taking money from Al-Falah bank in sector F-7.
Following this compliant, SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas constituted a team under the supervision of DSP CIA Bashir Noon.
This team succeeded to apprehend a gang of three Afghan nationals involved in this dacoity. SIU police team recovered Rs. 800,000 and a rented car from these nabbed persons identified as Hashim khan s/o Rosy Khan r/o Kabul Afghanistan, Hamshad s/o Mandaraz khan and Waheed Ullah s/o Shafiq Ullah r/o Karnai Akher

During the preliminary investigation, they revealed that they used to keep surveillance of people who park the vehicles and go to banks for withdrawing cash. One of the gang members used to mark a deep cut on the tyre of parked vehicle which turns flat during drive and they manage to snatch cash when the occupants of vehicle stop.
On September 27, 2016, they looted Tanveer Khan near resident of Satellite town Rawalpindi near Zero point and snatched cash Rs. 800,000 from him when he was he was on his way from Al-Falah Bank F- 7 branch.

Further, detailed investigation is underway from them and police is hopeful for more recovery from them.
