At the United Nations, Pakistan has called for a unified coordinated, consistent and equitable global approach to end human trafficking that affects all regions of the world.
These views were expressed by Pakistan's Deputy Permanent Representative to the world body, Aamir Khan, while speaking in the UN General Assembly's high-level meeting to review progress on implementing the 2010 UN Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons.
The Pakistani envoy said Islamabad continues to fight all kinds of organized crimes, including human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
Aamir Khan said on its part, Pakistan, in partnership with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and other international partners, has made significant progress in addressing this challenge.
