Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday directed concerned authorities tointroduce a separate visa category for people associated with CPEC projectsand remove obstacles for issuing long-term visas to foreign investors,especially Chinese investors.

The premier chaired a review meeting on the progress of the China-PakistanEconomic Corridor (CPEC) projects and promotion of investment in thecountry, during which he directed the Home Ministry to submit a summary tothe federal cabinet regarding the provision of all possible incentives tothe investors.——————————

The PM stated that Pakistan and China’s strategic partnership is“exemplary” for the world.

“In order to transform these relations into strong economic ties, it isnecessary to promote investment in areas of mutual interest and provide allpossible incentives to investors,” the PM said.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of CPEC for boosting economicgrowth in Pakistan and acting as a catalyst for the development of theentire region.
