ISLAMABAD-LONDON,Jammu Kashmir Self Determination movement International
(JKSDMI) (UK) has welcomed the recent statement of the Contact
Group of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)
on Jammu and Kashmir, in a virtual meeting on June 22.
"We the people of Kashmir welcome and appreciate the
statement of the OIC contact group on Kashmir for the oppressed people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and appeal them to raise the issue at United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute and according to relevant resolutions on Kashmir".
Chairman JKSDMI, Raja Najabat Hussain in a statement issued here on Wednesday said he also appreciated and thanked OIC contact group on Kashmir for strongly condemning the atrocities being perpetriated on innocent people of IOJK through brutal Indian occupation forces and urging India to stop it immediately.
Raja Najabat Hussain also thanked Member UK Parliament Debbie Abrahams (MP), Chairperson All Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir for writing a letter to British government.
In her letter she has apprised the British Prime Minister of her and group members sentiments and concerns the worst human right situation in Indianoccupied Jammu and Kashmir.
She demamded the UK government to
immediately take up the Kashmir issue at UNSC for the peaceful resolution of the longstanding dispute at its agenda.
Debbie Abrahams also called upon her government (UK Government) to raise the Kashmir dispute and also urged the international community to take immediate steps for the peaceful resolution of the dispute in accordance with UNSC resolutions on Kashmir.
Chairman JKSDMI (UK) Raja Najabat and other Kashmiri leaders also thanked Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for his efforts in highlighting the Kashmir issue at international levels including at OIC platform.
He said overseas Kashmiris fully support and behind the
struggling people of Indian occupied Kashmir in their efforts for
their birth right to self determination and complete freedom
from Indian subjugation.
