ISLAMABAD:Three-day National Artist Convention will begin at Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad on Saturday.
Artists from across the country will participate in the event with deliberations focus on different genres of art, including film, drama, fine arts and theatre.They will also discuss developing a national artistic infrastructure in the country and will present their recommendations in the form of a Charter of Demand.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb will inaugurate the Convention.The convention will be followed by a CPEC Cultural Caravan, which is part of the three-day art and cultural festival.
The festival will conclude on Monday and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to be chief guest at the concluding ceremony.APP/AFP
