DERA ISMAIL KHAN – Terrorist attack has been foiled at a Police Check post in KP.
Two passers-by were killed in an attempt to foil a terrorist attack on a check-post in near Darazinda Morr, Drabin tehsil, Dera Ismail Khan on Friday night.
Moreover, three people identified as Pir Muhammad and Banglu Khan were injured and shifted to hospital. The deceased – Sami and Naqeeb – were the employee of a nearby petrol pump.
According to the police, the terrorists riding on bikes had attacked the check-post with automatic weapons and lobbed hand grenades as well. However, the attackers managed to escape. All the policemen remained unhurt in the attack.
The security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search to trace the attackers. A huge contingent of police has been deployed on routes leading to mountainous areas.
