PTI FATA Tribal Jirga demands on FATA

PESHAWAR: (APP) Tribal Jirga under the auspices of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf FATA Wednesday demanded federal government to completely abolish Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and Article 247.

Addressing a Loya Jirga (Big Meeting) here at Peshawar Press Club Iqbal Afridi of Khyber Agency, Khalil-ur-Rehman from Bajaur Agency, Sajid Khan from Mohmand Agency, Nasir and Zubair from South and North Waziristan Agency and Chief Organizer Dost Muhammad said that Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) should be merged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They said that FATA's people have sacrificed their lives and property for the sake of country but they were spending lives still under the law made by British rulers namely FCR since decades.

They said that FATA was the part of Pakistan, hence the constitution of 1973 should also be implemented and extended to FATA.

They said that under the constitution the judicature should be introduced in FATA, adding Local Bodies elections should also be announced in FATA.
