ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Defence Pervaiz Khattak chaired a meetingof working group on alternative use of public properties at Ministry ofHousing and Works in Islamabad on Monday.
The minister was briefed on location and status of various publicproperties and their alternative use.
The working group was briefed about its latest development andachievements. The group has managed to identify more than forty-fourthousand kanals of the land for effective utilization including high riseresidential buildings, rest houses and commercial properties.
The Minister asked for a comprehensive report of the achievements of theworking group which will be presented to Prime Minister and the Cabinet.

The working group has successfully identified and planned almost all thepublic properties for their effective use. The Minister said all the landswill be utilized either through public private partnership, BoT,outsourcing or any other means according to the prevailing laws, which willensure revenue generation and effective use of public land.
