ML-1 Railways Track to be renovated by end next month

ISLAMABAD – Minister for Railways Shaikh Rashid Ahmad says the railwaytrack ML-1 from Peshawar to Karachi will be renovated by the end of nextmonth.

Talking to newsmen in Peshawar on Saturday, he said renovation of the trackis part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Shaikh Rashid said renovation of railway track ML-2 from Kotri to Attockand ML-3 from Quetta to Taftan will also be included in CPEC.

He said Rahman Baba Express Train will be inaugurated on 25th of nextmonth, that will run between Peshawar and Karachi.

The Minister said Safari Train will also be started between Peshawar andTaxila.

Earlier, Minister for Railways Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad says innovations arebeing introduced in Pakistan Railways to make it a profitable institution.

Talking to newsmen in Risalpur on Saturday, he said the locomotives will berun with latest technology.

He said foreign entrepreneurs will be given incentives to invest inRailways for increasing its revenue.

Shaikh Rashid said the government is also working for welfare of Railways’workers.
