CHITTAGONG – Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has made history in theworld of Test Cricket.
Shakib became the quickest player in the history of Test cricket to achievea dual feat of taking 200 wickets and scoring 3000 runs.
The 31-year-old Bangladesh all-rounder achieved the milestone on the thirdday of their first Test against West Indies in Chittagong.
This was Shakib’s 54th Test, in which Bangladesh defeated West Indies by 64runs.
Prior to that, legendary English all-rounder Ian Botham reached themilestone in his 55th Test. Shakib is the 14th player in the Test crickethistory to take 200 wickets and score 3000 runs.
