ISLAMABAD –PM Imran Khan has change of heart for former PM Nawaz Sharif. PrimeMinister Imran Khan has said that political differences notwithstanding,his sincere prayers are with Nawaz Sharif for his health.
In a tweet on Thursday, he said that he had directed all concerned toensure provision of the best possible healthcare and medical treatment toNawaz Sharif.
Earlier on Thursday, Nawaz Sharif’s condition showed improvement anddoctors diagnosed him with acute acute immune thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP). His platelets count has increased to 20,000 from 7,000.
A doctor, treating the former premier, said the treatment of ITP has beenstarted after the diagnosis was confirmed and Nawaz will recover in aweek’s time. He further said that the disorder is treatable in Pakistan andintravenous treatment has commenced.

“He does not have aplastic anaemia and his haemoglobin and WBC count (whiteblood cells) are normal. Platelets are low though,” said the doctor, who iswell aware of the former premier’s treatment and health issues.
